Courses

The trained eye: Intensive theory & practice.

Know, understand and be able to. Do you want to learn to analyze and feel movement sequences and not just follow instructions?

In our courses, we delve deep into specific topics. We combine in-depth theory with intensive practice and focus on your individual needs.

A special benefit: To maximize the learning effect, we sometimes swap horses (if desired). This way, you learn by feeling yourself, but also by watching and analyzing others.

Why a training course?

In private lessons, you often “only” concentrate on yourself and your horse. A course opens up your perspective.

  • Eye training: Learn to see what I see. Why does the horse kick short on one side? Where is it holding on muscularly – in the back, the loin or in the base of the neck?
  • The theory behind it: If desired, we take time for biotensegrity and deep connections that are often neglected in normal everyday riding.
  • Group spirit: Exchange ideas with like-minded people. You will see: You are not alone with your problems. With us, everyone helps each other.

Our formats

1. weekend courses (In Højer)

Come to our farm and dedicate a whole weekend to one topic. We attach great importance to high-quality instruction and therefore strictly limit the number of participants.

  • Procedure: If desired: Short theory session (with coffee & tea), followed by active sessions (individual or small group).
  • Catering: Including freshly cooked lunch by Lennart and various drinks (also included for the ‘Active Spectator’).
  • Participation:
    • Active: With your own horse or one of our schoolmaster horses.
    • Active Spectator: As a spectator you are fully involved – asking questions is expressly encouraged!

2. "Jana on Tour" (With you in the stable)

Would you like to organize a course at your place? I would be happy to come to you for day or weekend courses (Northern Germany and Southern Denmark).
  • Format: From 6 active participants (no upper limit)
  • Focus areas: Individually by arrangement – from fascia therapy to groundwork & riding (HORSE bodyforming) to pole & jumping lessons. A mix is also possible.
  • Procedure: Theory & practice combined or pure practical focus as desired.

Requirements on site:

The following items should be available so that we have optimum training conditions:

  • Training area: An indoor riding arena is ideal for training regardless of the weather. A well-prepared outdoor arena is also sufficient – but this should fenced off be fenced.
  • For the theory: If a theory part is desired, we need a dry, covered place with sufficient seating and a whiteboard or flipchart, which you provide.

Frequently asked questions about the courses

Can I take part without my own horse?

Absolutely! You can either choose one of our schoolmaster horses or as an “Active Spectator” participate. Our spectator seats are not passive seats: You are fully involved in the theory and analysis. You often learn even more while watching, as you don’t have to concentrate on your own riding.

Yes, we provide our schoolmaster horses for all courses.

  • Important: When booking, be sure to select the option “Participation with schoolmaster horse”.
  • Accuracy of fit: Please state your weight, height and current skill level when registering so that we can reserve the right partner for you.

Biotensegrity and healthy exercise are just as important for the Shetty as for the warmblood or the Icelandic horse. We are happy about every horse.

Am I a beginner or an advanced user?

  • HORSE bodyforming: Here we classify you as beginner if you have no experience with this with this specific method regardless of how well you ride.
  • Jumping / poles: Here you should already be able to ride safely in all three gaits.

Unsure? Send us a message and we’ll find the right level of HORSE bodyforming or pole & jumping training for you!

Yes, we have a large indoor riding arena as an alternative. Theory sessions take place in the cozy riding room (with a view into the hall). Nevertheless, we always recommend an extra warm jacket – it is often windy at the North Sea. 🙂

As a spectator at our courses in Højer, you can flexibly rebook your spot to another seminar up to 48 hours before the start. Since we plan the catering specifically for you, any changes at shorter notice are unfortunately not possible.

For active participants, cancellation is excluded for organizational reasons (this applies to both courses in Højer and external dates). However, you have the option at any time to independently provide a replacement participant to take your spot.

If the course has to be canceled by us (e.g. illness, extreme weather conditions), we will inform you immediately and you will of course receive a 100% refund.
