At Betterhorselife we offer guided trail rides. But in a different way than you might be used to. We focus on small groups, individuality and safety. So you can enjoy the moment to the full and leave your everyday life behind you.

We want you and our horses to come back healthy. As we train our horses very finely, they are not “self-runners”.
That’s why we use yellow and red tours:
Before we go out into the terrain, we get to know each other briefly in the riding arena.
Please assess your riding experience REALISTICALLY in advance and ask us here if you are unsure. If it still doesn’t work out on the course, we will unfortunately not be able to take you with us for safety reasons, but we will find an alternative for you.
Comfortable trousers without a thick inseam (no jeans please, they chafe and damage our saddles) and sturdy shoes with a small heel.
Safety is a must. We have rental helmets on site. However, please make sure you bring your own helmet if you have one. A well-fitting bicycle helmet is also fine for children.
Yes, you can rebook free of charge up to 48 hours before your ride. After that, cancellation is unfortunately no longer possible for organizational reasons.
Yes – but not always. Our guided rides always start directly from our farm and take you through the green nature of the Wadden Sea National Park. Some of our routes go through picturesque heathland and dunes right up to the dyke and the water. On the yellow day ride tour and the two red tours you can enjoy a fantastic, direct view of the sea while your horse has beach sand under its hooves. Good to know: The famous, huge sandy beach of Rømø is around 35 minutes away by car.
In the event of storms, heavy rain or thunderstorms, we will postpone the event. North German “dirty weather” is no obstacle – there is only wrong clothing! As long as you don’t hear from us, the trail rides will take place as agreed.
For the benefit of our horses, the limit is 90 kg. Please understand that we are very strict and will check this if necessary. However, you are welcome to book groundwork lessons with us so that you can still get individual contact with the horse and lessons for yourself.

For children from 4 – 12 years
A highlight for the little ones among us. You lead our well-behaved ponies/horses through the countryside around the farm. Siblings can share a pony and change halfway through!

For vacation guests with their own horse. The maximum number of guest riders is 6 (regardless of whether they have their own / or a schoolmaster horse). We want to keep the groups small, so you must also book your place on the trail rides with your own horse.
