Our guest rooms are the perfect starting point for excursions to Rømø, Sylt or Tønder – or simply to do nothing at all and relax.

How you live with us

We offer cozy rooms directly on our farm. We are not a sterile four-star hotel, but a structured horse farm.

What you can expect:

  • Rooms: Lovingly furnished, bright and friendly.
  • Facilities: Two comfortable beds per room, storage space for your clothes, Wi-Fi and a hairdryer are available.
  • Sanitary facilities: Two rooms share a toilet, an additional toilet is located in the stable building. You can use our private bathroom for showering by prior arrangement.
  • Community: A large communal kitchen (incl. coffee machine) with adjoining living and dining area on over 60 sqm invites you to linger. Outside there is another seating area and plenty of space in the courtyard.
  • Linen: Please bring your own bed linen (incl. fitted sheets) and towels – or book our linen package (€ 20 / DKK 150 per person and stay) conveniently on site.
  • Atmosphere: In the morning you can look at the horses with a coffee in your hand or watch the chickens in your own mini-forest.

  • Couples & solo travelers looking for peace and nature.
  • Families who want to show their children life in the countryside
    (please book two rooms directly if you are more than 2 people)
  • Riders who would like to do a course with us.
  • Animal lovers who would like to bring their dog (dogs are very welcome!).

Catering & shopping

Even as a self-caterer, you don’t have to do without anything:

  • Shopping: There is a Danish supermarket just 3 km away, which is open seven days a week until 7 pm.
  • Going out to eat: Don’t feel like cooking? Our clear recommendations are the Café at the Mill in Højer, the restaurant ‘Højer Slusen’ or Café Victoria in Tøndern.

Culture & History

The old trading town of Tønder with its charming streets is just a stone’s throw away. The castle in nearby Møgeltønder offers a fascinating journey into the history of southern Denmark. The Nolde Museum is also highly recommended.

Nature

The Wadden Sea National Park is almost on the doorstep. Perfect for long walks, bird watching (“Black Sun”) and cycling tours. Those looking for relaxation can enjoy fishing in the Højer Canal or in Møgeltønder Fiskesø.

Beach

The island of Rømø with its infinitely wide sandy beaches can be reached in about 35 minutes by car. You can even drive onto the beach there!

Become active

Fancy some action? You can play a round of soccer golf in Husum Ballum. You can also book trail rides and riding lessons with us.

Important note for families & groups: As we rent out two separate rooms, they run via two separate advertisements. If you would like to use both rooms together, please book them one after the other.

Do you want to clear your head by doing some real physical work? Are you looking for real, unfiltered farm life?

Then our “vacation for a hand” offer is just right for you.

  • The deal: You stay in one of our guest rooms free of charge and support us in return 3 hours a day (per person) on the farm.
  • The work: We are talking about real physical work. Mucking out (horses & chickens), garden maintenance or support with small building projects are all part of it.
  • Requirements: You are weatherproof, not afraid of dirt and can work independently.
